Afe Babalola University Multisystem Hospital (AMSH) is a 400-bedded, world-class tertiary teaching hospital situated within the serene and secure campus of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD). Position Overview
We invite applications from qualified, passionate, and career-driven pharmacists for the position of Pharmacist I (Entry-Level).
This role provides an excellent opportunity for young pharmacists (post-NYSC) to begin their professional journey in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and teaching-oriented hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense and counsel patients on prescribed medications in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Participate actively in clinical pharmacy services, including ward rounds and patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions and medication histories.
- Support drug procurement, inventory management, and quality assurance functions.
- Participate in continuing professional education and departmental research initiatives.
- Provide drug information and contribute to pharmacovigilance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and valid license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Evidence of completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
- Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for hospital and clinical pharmacy practice.
- Commitment to professional excellence and ethical standards.
